The origin of our olive oil - A visit to the plantations in Oujda, Morocco
Among the golden hills of north-eastern Morocco, near the town of Oujda, lies the origin of our olive oil. Here, on the traditional family plantations of our founding family, every bottle begins with care, patience and dedication.
Some of the olive trees in Oujda are over 100 years old – rooted in mineral-rich soil, under the warm North African sun. The harvest begins every year in late fall. We rely exclusively on manual labor: the olives are picked early in the morning when they are still plump and full of nutrients. They are then selected by variety before being cold-pressed in a traditional stone mill within a few hours.
Our visit to the plantations is always a return to the roots: to the people who live this craft with passion and pride. To a culture that lives respect for nature. And to a philosophy in which quality is not negotiable, but a matter of course.
Our Journey to the Matcha Fields in Japan – Between Mist, Ritual, and Dedication
When you gaze over the hills of Kagoshima or Aichi early in the morning, a fine mist blankets the matcha fields. It is this special calm that defines the character of our matcha – because good things take time.
Our varieties “Velvet Cream” and “Sweet Serenity” come from small tea gardens, where each plant is carefully tended by hand. Before harvesting, the tea leaves are shaded for up to 30 days. This increases the chlorophyll content, giving the matcha its intense green color and velvety aroma.
The harvest itself is done by hand – leaf by leaf. Afterward, the leaves are steamed, dried, and ground into the finest powder using stone mills. Each mill produces only about 30-40 grams of matcha per hour. The difference is noticeable: Our matcha is ceremonial and contest-grade – ideal for daily rituals, meditative moments, or creative applications.
Our visit to the fields deeply impressed us: the mindfulness, the knowledge, the dedication – all of it is reflected in every tin. For us, matcha is not a trend. It is a culture.
