Ceremonial Matcha Jade Harmony

Clear Ceremonial Matcha from Shiozuka for moments of inner harmony.

There are moments that call for depth – clear, powerful, and yet carried by a subtle gentleness. Jade Harmony is our balanced Ceremonial Grade Matcha from the Shiozuka region, carefully harvested from the first flush and stone-ground on traditional mills. Its vibrant green color, the interplay of gentle umami, fresh herbal notes, and subtle sweetness unfold in each bowl like a quiet dialogue with yourself – a ritual of clarity that strengthens and centers you.

This Matcha comes from one of Japan’s most renowned tea regions and is harvested, processed, and stone-ground according to centuries-old traditions. Its texture is powdery fine, and its color a vibrant emerald green – a testament to true craftsmanship and meticulous care.
Note: The following points are based on recognized studies on green tea and Matcha. We make no medical claims. Rich in catechins: Matcha contains particularly high levels of catechins, especially EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate) – a powerful antioxidant that may help protect cells from oxidative stress. Supports focus and attention: Matcha contains L-Theanine, an amino acid that, in combination with caffeine, may promote mental alertness – without the typical “caffeine crash.” Compared to coffee, caffeine from Matcha is released more slowly and evenly due to L-Theanine, providing a calmer and longer-lasting energy boost. Supports mindful living: Traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony, Matcha encourages a mindful, slow preparation routine that many people incorporate into their daily lives. Note: Effects may vary from person to person. Our products are not a substitute for a balanced diet or medical treatment.
The preparation of Matcha is more than just a technique – it is a ritual of mindfulness. In Japan, Matcha has been used for centuries in the tea ceremony (Chanoyu) – a moment of calm and focus. How to prepare your Matcha traditionally: Sift the Matcha – Pass about 1–2 grams (1 tsp) of powder through a fine sieve to remove any clumps. Heat the water – to approximately 70–80 °C (not boiling). Pour & whisk – Add about 60–80 ml of water to the powder and whisk with a bamboo whisk (Chasen) in M- or W-shaped motions until frothy. Enjoy – Sip slowly, mindfully, and warm. The classic preparation is called Usucha (thin tea). For a stronger version – Koicha – we recommend our Contest Grade Matcha.
Good Matcha can be recognized at first glance – and felt with the very first sip. Its color is an intense, vibrant green, indicating gentle processing and an early harvest. The deeper and fresher the green, the higher the quality of the powder. High-quality Matcha typically comes from the first harvests of spring, when the young tea leaves are particularly tender and nutrient-rich. The aroma also reveals the quality: fine Matcha has a soft, grassy, almost sweet scent – never bitter or sharp. The flavor showcases the true craftsmanship – good Matcha is harmonious, creamy, and smooth on the palate, with a subtle umami note. Any bitterness, if present, should be very mild. Texture is equally important. Premium Matcha is ground ultra-finely, almost like silk powder, and dissolves effortlessly in water when whisked – without clumps or residue. If the Matcha feels coarse or sandy, it is usually of lower quality. Another indicator is origin and processing: authentic, high-quality Matcha traditionally comes from Japan, especially regions like Uji, Kagoshima, or Aichi, where centuries-old knowledge meets modern craftsmanship. The leaves are shaded before harvest to increase chlorophyll content and preserve amino acids – a key difference from ordinary green tea powder. Once you’ve tasted high-quality Matcha, you recognize it not only by its color but by the sensation it leaves: clear, focused, and soothing – all without haste.
Ceremonial Matcha is the highest grade of Matcha, traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony. It is made exclusively from the youngest, hand-picked tea leaves, which are particularly tender and rich in umami. In terms of flavor, it is mild, slightly sweet, and free of bitter notes.
Ceremonial Matcha → the highest everyday quality, ideal for traditional tea ceremonies and pure enjoyment. Contest Grade Matcha → surpasses Ceremonial Grade in sweetness, color, and aroma. In Japan, it is primarily presented at competitions and is rarely available.
